My Yukata/ Japan Day 2014

I knew this was the year I would get a yukata

and I was so excited to get it! I ordered it from Rakuten 

with the help of my gal friend Malia (thanks bby!)

On to Japan day

I met up with a local gal Amber and
we both went to the festival in yukata, oiran style.
So don't tell me I'm wearing it wrong cause I'm not

I need more practice on how to put it on though

Later on Amber brought me and my bf to Village Yokocho where we had
an amazing Japanese dinner.

The yakisoba was so much I took half home
but everything was so yummy
I have to go back for more hopefully during the summer.

I felt so beautiful got my picture taken by alot of people even video xD
Can't wait for the another Japanese festival
Hopefully more of the NYC gals will join in!

Kawaii Cellphones!

I'm pretty sure those of us into Japanese/Korean

or Asian things in general will come across the 

cute cell phones!

I've had my current cell for almost 4 years its just a regular cell

not an android. I ordered a no brand android online

but it gave me problems

I wish we had all of these here in America

but if you get a phone overseas it would be unique^^

I actually ordered one of these  phones 

today but I won't tell you which one.

Being Gyaru on A Budget!

Wouldn't we all love to own some 109 brands? But the reality is many of us cannot afford it or even fit into it the outfits like me. Big boobs and big thighs are not going to squeeze into gal brands haha

How and where do I buy my things?

• Clothing: I go to thrift stores (Goodwill and Salvation Army). It's fun to go thrifting because you never know what you may find! Since prices of items are usually cheap you can add gems,spikes, lace and even cut up  your items. For regular discount stores (Rainbows) or department stores (Walmart, Jcpenny) I look for clearance only. I usually don't buy basic items like tops/skirts for more than $5. There are exceptions to every rule though^^ . Also end of season clearance is where I find my best deals. Now winter stuff  is being sold cheap for the new arrival of spring items. You can save those items for next year. I will probably check out Rainbows next week for sales.

• Accessories: eBay is your friend but be careful of the sellers you buy from. Also forever 21 has affordable accessories but eBay is my main place along with discount clothing stores like (Rainbow's).

• Makeup: I use dollar store makeup, discount store makeup and drugstore makeup. At the dollar store usually Dollar Tree I can find some brands at times (L'Oreal, Revlon, Covergirl ,La. Colors) which is what I will buy. The only brand of makeup I buy from the drugstore is from Wet N' Wild because I can afford it. 

• Wigs: I buy wigs all around. eBay, Tmart, Clairhair.com, SamsBeauty.com. If I have time I go to the hair store to look at and feel a wig I might like online or I watch YouTube reviews on them. I usually go for wigs that you can apply heat to. Sometimes I even make my own wigs. I have made 5 so far

When shopping around it is great to have knowledge of the latest gal trends 

or  substyle(s) you like the most. I find it easier to go shopping that way.

My favorite styles are Ora-Ora, Kuronba and Rokku. 

(Its hard to tell from the kawaiiness of my blog lol)

But it helps when I study those styles more.

Failed Makeup Tutorial

I was recording a tutorial for this look and my camera died within 5 minutes. 

I didn't even notice until I was done . I will definitely make a tutorial next year!

Happy Halloween!

I'm kind of late with this but I hope everyone had a great and awesome Halloween. I stayed inside this Halloween because of hurricane Sandy so I did some makeup inside! I will be sure to enjoy Halloween next year!

A Little Update

I FUCKING HATE THE BLOGGER APP!! I just wrote a good detailed blogpost and it crashed (｡-_-｡).

Went to a Mini Gal Meetup. It was a semi failure because we were in a neighborhood we didn't really know and it was kind of ghetto. But I was glad I was able to meet three new gals!

Positive Highlights of the day:
1.Some lady liked my hair
2.Some lady litterally grabbed me by the wrist in the train station just to tell me she liked my style. I was like what?!??
3. A professional photographer from Vice Magazine took some shots of me and Lisa. I can't wait to see them

Negative Highlights of the day:
1. Men thought I was a prostitute/hooker. They came up to me and asked. Lol wut ._. The funny thing is that I wasn't showing any cleavage or even wearing short shorts! My shorts were knee length haha.

Ive Just Inspired Myself

Sounds weird doesn't it?

Well I'm having a turning point in my life where I want to do things differently

I want to change and become better overall as a person. Not change to be fake haha. 

Here is what I want to work on in no particular order:

• Do better in school
• Find a job
• Become a Gyaru. Yes I said it! I want to do gal style as much as possible while I am still young. Ive know about gal for 3 years and I feel comfortable with the style now. I want to start working on coords more so when I hit the stores I will be sure to pick out gal items. I wish I had time to wear it to school everyday but that is not possible for me. So when there are meetups I will be the best I can be! I won't be brought down even if they are failed attempts haha. I will be sure to take critique from other fellow gals!

• Lose weight by eating healthy and exercising! 
• Become a better blogger! I need to do much better videos and I have to blog about more things
• Have money to visit my Boyfriend

• Learn Japanese and Korean. I have to continue my Korean. I've given up for a good six months but I can still read it though
• Generally keep my life organized. Having a daily planner will help!

         I will stick to all of these goals and keep pushing for more! 

Very Dramatic Gyaru Makeup

Its a very dramatic type of style. What do you think? I find that these hardcore styles suit me better because it actually shows up on my skin. Anyway I can't wait for the weather to get cooler so I can actually wear this makeup out because in this NYC heat your makeup will melt! So I just practice indoors for now haha
